Family First Supervised Visitation
Susie had not seen her dad for six months following the divorce. She didn’t know why. She was confused, depressed and hurt...she longed to see her father. Because of Chehalem Youth and Family Services’ Supervised Visitation program, Susie’s father was able to meet the court-mandated requirements and see his daughter. Their reunion was heart-rending and tears flowed freely.
Chehalem Youth and Family Services (CYFS) is a non-profit organization that has been providing hope and healing for over 40 years creating and updating services to continually meet needs. Safe and healthy children, adults and families are top priority for CYFS.
Supervised Visitation refers to contact between a non-custodial parent and children in the presence of a third person who is responsible for observing and ensuring their well-being. Supervised Visits provide a friendly, comfortable atmosphere for all, a place for parents to spend meaningful parenting time, and a safe, neutral location for parents to exchange children without having direct contact with each other. As you work with families who are in the midst of change, here is helpful information regarding these services.
